Gina Colfer went to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and earned a bachelor’s degree in crop science. She went to work after graduation as a Pest Control Advisor on the Central Coast of California and has stayed in that geographical location her whole career — as a PCA for 34 years and CCA for 20 years. She has worked for agricultural input companies and in-house for a large organic grower. Her career has evolved over the years to focus on organics and sustainability in the farming of vegetables on the Central Coast. Since starting at Wilbur Ellis, she has helped move the company more toward organic pest control options, soil health, and organic fertility management programs.
